Photographer David Maisel discovered thousands of canisters in a locked room of an abandoned building at a mental hospital. Each anonymously numbered canister, left to moulder for decades in the dark, contains the cremated remains of former patients. Vivid mineral blooms coat the outside of the canisters. Check it out. |
